A Welcome From the President
A significant component of the Church’s mission focuses on the development and formation of the whole person. This is one of the reasons why there has always been a major emphasis in the Church in Catholic education and the institution of the Catholic school.
We are in the very fortunate position of having a Catholic school, providing an excellent academic education in conjunction with faith formation, from Preschool through the 12th grade. The school has been recognized both as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the Department of Education & Science and for four years running as one of the Top 50 Catholic High School’s in America. A logical extension of this heritage of academic excellence was consideration of the post-secondary years. Since 2005 Holy Spirit College has offered certificate programs in the Liberal Arts and since 2009 we have also offered a professional certificate in Catholic Education.
Holy Spirit College is authorized by the State of Georgia to offer an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and three graduate degrees in Theology. The undergraduate degree is ideal for the high school graduate who is not attracted to a large institutional environment or is seeking a more personalized and very rigorous academic experience at an authentically Catholic institution. The graduate degrees are ideal for the person who already has an undergraduate degree and who wants to continue studying for additional qualifications in a Catholic atmosphere. They are also ideal for the Catholic person who wants to broaden his or her knowledge of the faith to function as a catechist in a parish or perhaps just for personal growth.
Welcome to Holy Spirit College.
Msgr. Edward J. Dillon J.C.D.
President, Holy Spirit College
