Holy Spirit College is a constituent member of Universitas Catholica;
a dynamic grouping of independent Catholic educational apostolate
comprised by Holy Spirit College, Holy Spirit Preparatory School, Sophia Press, The Universitas Catholic Speakers Bureau and Solidarity School.
At Holy Spirit College our goal is to educate the mind, body, and soul in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition in full compliance with Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the Apostolic Constitution of the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II on Catholic Universities. To read Ex Corde Ecclesiae,

At
the certificate and undergraduate degree level, Holy Spirit College
provides a classical, core education for students interested in pursuing
challenging courses of study. Our curriculum is dedicated to the study of the liberal arts and sciences with a focus upon Philosophy, and produces clear writers, critical
thinkers, and sophisticated readers. As an integral element of our
course evaluation, we measure growth in these critical skills with
clearly identified metrics that are all directly supported by the
rigorous curriculum.
We
employ a Writing Across the Curriculum Program to ensure that students
will typically write each day in every class, and that students routinely
use writing processes as an integrated tool of learning and discovery.
Our pedagogy avoids relying solely on the standard lecture
format; we frequently conduct Socratic Seminars with our students.
Our faculty prompts students to consider profound questions in
philosophy and literature as they ponder the complexities of math,
science, and language while grappling with issues of history and
political science. All of our Certificate Graduates have matriculated into selective colleges throughout the United States (click here to see a list of Colleges now attended by our Certificate Graduates) and many of our B.Phil students will progress to graduate study.
Therefore it is our great task to prepare those students for this process, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
At a Postgraduate or Adult-Education level we offer a Graduate
B.Phil requiring 60 credit hours of study together with Certificate and Diploma courses in Liberal Arts and Theology.
Additionally, we offer professional certification for Catholic Educators and enrichment lectures and courses for life-long learners.
Holy Spirit College customizes the learning
experience for each student at all levels of study, identifying learning objectives and
opportunities and creating a close working and cooperative learning
partnership between the student and the educator.
