At Holy Spirit College the tuition cost of an undergraduate degree is set at a total tuition cost for the program determined at the date of enrollment whether the degree is completed in two, three or more years.
For students matriculating in August 2010, tuition can be paid by 48 monthly payments of $1,000 regardless of the student’s planned graduation date. In the alternative, tuition for the degree can be satisfied by making a single payment of $40,0o0, two annual payments of $22,000 or 24 monthly payments of $1900. In all cases the first payment under the tuition payment plan is due on June 1st of the year of matriculation.
At Holy Spirit College students receive additional complimentary services that are not typically included in public or other private colleges:
-
Breakfast & Lunch Monday through Friday
-
Optional “Dinner Included” programs three nights each-week
-
Sunday evening Fellowship Dinner
-
Monthly Tutor Dinner
-
Weekend intra-mural sports
-
Overnight retreat weekends
-
Weekend leisure activities and day and overnight trips
Uniquely; students attending a Holy Spirit College study abroad program can extend their payment plan to cover tuition, airfares and room & board.
Holy Spirit College tuition does not include:
-
Overnight accommodation (except while studying abroad or participating in weekend retreats or activities)
-
Books and materials (unless the student is a beneficiary of the Archbishop John F. Donoghue Text Book Scholarship)
A limited number of work-study scholarships are available to students whose family resources are not able to meet the normal tuition payment schedule. Additionally, students qualifying for work-study and tracked to complete their degree in two academic years may be approved for lower monthly payments while studying allowing part of the cost of their program to be deferred until they have entered the workforce.
REFUND POLICY
Depending on the tuition plan chosen, students that withdraw from Holy Spirit College whether at their own instigation or at the instigation of the institution may be entitled to receive a refund of tuition or responsible for additional tuition payments after withdrawal. The tuition balance will be calculated based on:
-
A Library Charge of $50 and a Student Activity charge of $50 for each full or partial calendar month of enrollment. For this purpose enrollment is deemed to commence as at August 1st in each calendar year unless the student transfers into the college during the course of the academic year.
-
Tuition of $1,900 for each full or partial calendar month of enrollment during which class is attended. For this purpose enrollment is deemed to commence as at August 1st in each calendar year unless the student transfers into the college during the course of the academic year.
-
If a refund is due to a withdrawn student and the student received any Title IV Aid other than University Work-Study, the refund must be returned by the College to the Title IV Program(s) if the trimester is not 60% complete at the determined time of the students withdrawal. On the day that completes the 60% point of the semester, students will have completely earned their aid and no financial aid adjustments (including Title IV aid) will occur. The following formula, as required by law, is used to determine what must be returned to the various aid programs upon a student’s withdrawal prior to completing at least 60% of the trimester. The refund will be distributed among the various Title IV programs in the following order: Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, Subsidized Stafford Loan, Perkins Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, Pell Grant, FSEOG Grant, ACG Grant, Smart Grant, State grants and institutional funds. Federal Student Aid funds must be returned first, then other funds. If there is any amount remaining after these obligations have been met, then the student will receive a refund.
