Plagiarism is a very serious form of academic dishonesty. Students plagiarize when they do not credit the sources of their writing—the words, information, ideas, or opinions of others. Holy Spirit College takes plagiarism and all forms of academic dishonesty very seriously. As a student of Holy Spirit College, you are responsible to avoid plagiarism of any sort. Students who plagiarize or otherwise cheat are subject to penalties up to and including dismissal from the College.
Student DisciplineMinor disciplinary issues shall be referred to and handled by the Dean of Students. The Dean of Students may impose sanctions up to but falling short of suspension and / or dismissal. Such sanctions may include inter alia:
a) Mandatory study hall
b) Restricted hours on campus
c) Curfew hours
d) Conduct probation which if violated will result in a
deferred consequence

e) A ban on alcohol consumption on or off campus even if the student is of legal age
f) Repair or cleaning assignments on campus or at the student residences
g) Relocation of residence
h) Extended "quiet hours" in the residence
i) Prohibition of specific acts that are disruptive to the community or a part thereof
j) Mandatory dress code
k) Restriction on driving privileges on campus or the residential complex
l) Academic or other counseling
