Holy Spirit College is pleased to announce a
eight week course on
Byzantine Iconography: Theology in Color. Learn the art of Byzantine Icon painting, the art of the early Church. Students will learn the history, theology and technique of Byzantine icon painting in the traditional medium of egg tempera. It is a course for beginners and covers 2d and 3d line drawing, basic color theory, tone study on canson paper, and painting of an icon in egg tempera. An artistic background is not required, just a desire to learn and willingness to step out of the box. The course will be taught by Fr. Anthony Salzman, a Greek Orthodox priest and Pastor of Saint Philothea Greek Orthodox Church in Athens.

The cost to audit this course is $235. The cost for credit is $335. Supplies are included.
