Lecture Series 2010-2011

Please join us on May 5, 2011 as we welcome:

Rt. Rev. Archimandrite John Azar, Pastor of St. John Chrysotom Melkite Catholic Church, Atlanta

Pope John Paul the Great emphasized the need for the Church to "breathe with both lungs." He was speaking of the treasures of the Catholic Faith as reflected in the Latin Rite and the Eastern Rites. While we are all familiar with the Latin Rite, very few are aware of the fact that there are many Eastern Rite Catholics in communion with the Pope. These include Byzantine, Maronite, Syro-Malabar and Melkite Catholics. Fr. John will help us explore the history and the riches of Eastern Catholicism. All are welcome.

The lecture will begin at 7:00p.m.and will be held in Malta Hall. Lectures are free and open to the public, but seating is limited so please RSVP ONLINE to reserve your space(s).
